The SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) national conference is the world’s largest gathering of human resource professionals with 375 sessions and expected onsite and online attendance of 26,000 people. It will take place at the San Diego Convention Center, June 29th to July 2nd. Learn more about the conference at: https://annual.shrm.org/.

I’ll be leading 2 breakout sessions at the conference on July 1st.

My first session, “Leadership Resources Management – A Case Study on Improving Leadership Utilization,” is based on a project we performed for a regional hospital system on the east coast utilizing our Leadership Resources Management (LRM) strategy. LRM is a data-informed approach to strategically manage an organization’s leadership resources with far-reaching implications for retention, hiring and promotions.

My second topic, “Why Leadership Skills Are Not Enough,” explains why the “checking the box” approach most people use for leadership development will not result in sustainable long-term improvement. Leaders need a continuously improving leadership process to help them achieve their career goals.

With 26,000 attendees, I expect a few hundred people in attendance for each session. After each of my sessions, there will be a book signing in the SHRMStore for my latest book, “The Path to Elite Level Leadership.”

I hope to see you there.
